"I am hopefully starting a treatment plan for the identified tumor"
21st May 2025
"Hello,
I would like to say a big thank you for providing me the opportunity to have a PSA test at Yeovil Town Football Club on the 22nd March this year. Thanks to that test and a subsequent reading of >35 (without any symptoms!) I have recently had an MRI and Biopsy taken at Yeovil hospital. I am hopefully starting a treatment plan for the identified tumor on the left hand side of my prostate once the consultant has received the biopsy results. Without your PSA test initiative and program you offered, the outcome perhaps would not be so positive for me and perhaps many others who are not having their prostate checked, due to the lack of any NHS testing as far as I am aware. I also wonder if you conduct any follow up statistics to show how many cancers are found which possibly may help to promote a NHS-led screening program, similar to breast cancer screening, to fight this male-orientated disease? [We do, please find our stats here]
Once again many, many thanks from me and my family!"
"It has been caught early"

"Because of your hard work, I have been caught early and was told it is treatable. So, a huge thank you to you all."

"Probably doing this 8 years too late but getting it done now"
24th April 2025
"Hi,
I went to school with Tim and Nick and always found Graham (and Sue) to be totally awesome, I'm lucky to have known them growing up.
I knew about Graham's charity, of course, and it was great to see him being honoured with an MBE last year.
I am now 48 (god I’m old!) and wanted to say thanks as I am having a PSA test done for the first time this weekend at Ascot. I had a reminder today and noticed on the email that this is being funded by the trust in his name, so wanted to say thanks. Probably doing this 8 years too late but getting it done now.
Please pass on my absolute best to Graham and his amazing family.
From his trumpet playing buddy."

"My PSA had gone from 5.9 to 6.5 in weeks"
21st March 2025
"Although my cancer was not considered aggressive, the volume of it gave cause for concern. My PSA had gone from 5.9 to 6.5 in weeks. I have now had brachytherapy treatment and after 3 months, my PSA level is down to 0.4. 22 biopsies were taken and 17 proved positive for cancer cells. Encourage more people to get tested!"

"I really appreciate being given this early indicator."
17th March 2025
"Hello Folks
I wanted to say a big thank to everyone who helped me get my PSA test turned around so quickly at the Wimborne event last Saturday and the results coming through just over 24hrs later. It flagged up that my PSA level was high and I am now following up with my GP for the next steps. I really appreciated being given this early indicator that my prostate needed checking further.
Please keep up the good work!
Many thanks."
Mr S. P.
"Thank you for saving my life."
8th February 2025
"In 2021, having had Prostate Cancer within the family (Dad & Grandfather), I thought I would attend a PSA testing event at my local Rugby Club (Wadebridge), held by Graham Fulford Charitable Trust. Even though I have a strong family history of Prostate Cancer, I had not been offered a PSA test from my local GP. It was just a simple blood test, taken from my arm, and then I awaited my results in the post. When the results arrived, it came back as ‘Elevated PSA’. I then contacted by GP who repeated the test to confirm the findings. After 2 years of observation, and repeated blood tests to monitor my PSA – which was continuing to rise, I was then offered radiotherapy treatment. 3 months after my treatment, my PSA is now 0.24 – down from 24! My oncologist says I don’t need a scan, as my PSA is now so low - but they will continue to monitor me every 3 months. This test I took voluntarily as I was not offered one by my GP - even though I had the family history – father and grandfather – and I had NO symptoms – I thank God I booked that test. Thank you to the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust who hold these events, all over the UK, and Wendy Symons who organises all the events in Devon and Cornwall, with the help of her partner Nick, brilliant NHS nurses and local volunteers. More men need to be aware of this, and GET TESTED!!"

"I was very impressed by the kindness and support at this event."
21st October 2024
"To all who organised and staffed the event on 9.10.24 at Wellesbourne, Warks.
I was very impressed by the kindness and support of all at this event. Fortunately my result was good. Of course there is anxiety before the test results and a preparation for a bad result.
The two male volunteers who shared their experiences after the test were especially helpful and reassuring.
Thank you all for an overall positive experience and a great organisation, and of course to the Wellesbourne Lions.
Best wishes"
Tim
"At worse this simple test has saved my life, at best it's meant the cancer was caught very early which has made things very straightforward. The test has been worth its weight in gold for me."
16th September 2024
"After just completing your questionnaire I thought I would send an email.
I am 55 and a Senior manager of a large team of engineers whereby around a quarter of the team are over 50.
3 of my team were diagnosed with prostate cancer over a 12 month period so I decided to have my own PSA test through yourselves. My reasons for using you direct were that my GP practice is really difficult to deal with and gain access to and it was easier to buy the product.
Once I had conducted your test the results came back in super quick time advising elevated scores and I should contact my GP.
I am lucky enough to have private medical insurance so contacted AXA health immediately.
What construed is that I had g2 cancerous cells in an area of the prostate but no tumour. In discussion with my consultant we decided I would have my prostate removed and I had the operation via key hole surgery this weekend.
At worse this simple test has saved my life, at best its meant the cancer was caught very early which has made things very straightforward. I'm now waiting on results in 6 weeks time but the consultant was very confident with the operation.
My mantra to all over 50s is get a PSA done regularly. If your GP won't provide for the price of a simple meal out it can be done.
As I say the test has been worth its weight in gold for me."

"I was diagnosed with cancer following my last biopsy even though I am still not showing any symptoms"
22nd July 2024
"Hi, I hope you are well and keeping busy, just wanted to let you know I was diagnosed with cancer following my last biopsy even though I am still not showing any symptoms. I had the operation on Monday and came home on Tuesday, everything happens so fast even though I had prepared myself for this, when they mention the ‘c’ word the mind goes into overdrive. 2 months of doing nothing and hopefully everything will be fine.
If I hadn’t gone to the golf club in Feb 2023 I wouldn’t have bothered doing anything so this is a personal thank you for all the work you and the rest of the team do. Let’s keep banging the drum and letting everybody know the importance of the testing and if I can help in anyway you know where I am."
