GFCT has a new Trustee

12 Jan, 2018 | Return|
We are delighted to announce that Wendy Hodgkinson, who has been working with the charity since 2012, has agreed to step up to the role of Trustee with effect from 1st January 2018.Wendy is a HCA with 15 years experience with 3 GP practices in Warwick so is ideally placed to bring to the table considerable experience of dealing with people on a day to day basis in a medical environment. She originally joined as one of our phlebotomy team in 2012 and started on a permanent basis on 1st January 2015 with the original remit of helping to computerise in excess of 50,000 PSA results we had amassed at that time. We set an original target date at 31st May 2016 to complete that exercise and given there were also ongoing tests at the time at the rate of 13,000 per annum and with typical drive and enthusiasum she completed that task 3 months early in February 2016.On the basis we will process in of the order of 20,000 tests in 2018 and are now up to over 84,000 tests in total, I have no doubt we’ll be putting the 100,000th test on the system sometime in the autumn and I’ll ensure it’s Wendy who puts it on. That’s the very least she deserves.Sue and I are very much looking forward to continuing to work with Wendy in the years ahead and I’m sure she and Dave will form a very effective team in striving to maintain our goal of turning results round quickly in an efficient and professional manner._20180112_100643
