Exciting new joint testing opportunity with The Prostate Project
We're delighted to be able to announce that from around June 2024 we'll be sharing a Mobile PSA Testing Clinic (The Man Van) with The Prostate Project, a Charity formed in 1998 with the ambition to give men a better chance of beating prostate cancer.
The charity supports efforts to detect and treat prostate cancer, funding awareness campaigns, equipment, and specialist nursing staff, and it also raises money to fund ground- breaking cancer research. Since its formation it has raised over £8 million to help the Royal Surrey County Hospital (RSCH) become a Centre of Excellence for the treatment of Prostate Cancer. Stephen Langley, RSCH Professor of Urology, Professional Director of Cancer Services, and Prostate Project trustee, has been recognised by the Health Service Journal (HSJ) for his successful work in the “Targeted Prostate Health Check” rolled out in conjunction with the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance (SSCA), of which he is Co-Chairman for Urology. To follow up on this initiative, The Prostate Project has invested around £200,000 in this new mobile unit and we're very excited at the thought of working closely with The Prostate Project to maximise use of the Man Van to offer ongoing testing opportunities in the Surrey area and elsewhere.
