On Friday 30th August, GFCT sent out an email to all clients informing them of a new service Doctor Asif Naseem is offering. 

The reason we are offering this service is because we receive between 6 and 10 calls a week from men who are having issues with their own doctors and are not receiving the proper medical pathway. 

Since this service commenced, Dr Naseem has helped two men who had a RED score. Their scores were above the recommended NICE age-related score for their age. Their GPs were not helpful and would not refer them to their NHS Trust’s urology department. They both contacted Dr Naseem.

Thanks to Dr Naseem’s contacts with the NHS, in both cases these men were seen immediately by their local NHS trust, had MRI’s scans and biopsies were carried out. They both have prostate cancer. 

One gentleman is having a radical prostatectomy next week. Since this diagnosis, this gentleman has visited his GP practice, and they said he didn’t require sending to his local hospital for at least 12 weeks. He feels Dr Naseem has saved his life. 

This is why we organised this service with Dr Naseem, he is saving lives.
