Volunteers Offering PSA Tests That the NHS Won't
A remarkable night in Torquay…
The Torbay Prostate Support Association’s latest PSA testing event saw a record 370 men show up, proving how community-led health initiatives are filling the gap left by the lack of a national screening programme.
Of those tested, 30 received red alerts, most without symptoms. Thanks to dedicated volunteers and organisers like Ian Nightingale and Wendy Symons, these men now have a chance at early diagnosis and better outcomes.
One in eight men will get prostate cancer. Don’t wait for symptoms. Get tested.
