My Prostate Journey Continues: An Update from Graham

02 Aug, 2025 | Return|

Graham Fulford, founder of GFCT and GFCT Treatment Support, was diagnosed with prostate cancer early this year. An update from Graham:

You may remember from my last update that following the Prostatype report, the next leg was a flow test and bladder scan. The good news on the first part is that "it is a very impressive flow pattern with a maximum flow of 35m/s and a perfect curve".

The not quite so good news is that the bladder scan indicated that whilst I managed to void 460m, I still left 248m in the bladder. My consultant tells me that, on the positive side, this in itself is not necessarily of great concern. Although, it does make me more at risk of getting UTIs and bladder stones.

In the meantime, he'll discuss it further with me when I get my follow up MRI scan results in November.

So next steps... a further PSA in September and the scan in October/November.
