Recent press coverage has highlighted the success of our ongoing prostate cancer screening programme, promoted by Stratford District Council. 

So far, 636 tests have been carried out across Stratford, Studley, Southam and Alcester. Of these, 373 men took part in prostate cancer testing. Results have already proved vital, with 83 men referred for further tests via their GP. 

Alongside prostate cancer screening, tests for diabetes and cholesterol were also carried out, with significant findings. Around 14% and 75% of participants respectively were advised to follow up with their doctor after abnormal results were detected. 

These events are heavily subsidised, costing just £14 per test, and are available for men over 40 (prostate cancer screening) and for men and women aged 18+ (diabetes, cholesterol and more). Find out which health tests we offer here.
