Calling All Men Over 40 - When was the last time you checked your prostate health?

08 Oct, 2025 | Return|

Men over 40, do you know this key information on prostate health? Please read the below and share the attached document.

What is a PSA test?

  • PSA stands for prostate-specific antigen, a protein produced by prostate cells.
  • A PSA test is a blood test that measures how much PSA is in your blood.
  • A raised PSA level may indicate a prostate issue such as (but not necessarily) benign enlargement, prostatitis, or prostate cancer.

Why get a PSA test?

It can provide warning signs early, long before symptoms appear, giving you more treatment options and a better chance of successful treatment. The PSA test is minimally invasive - just a blood draw from the arm.

Where can I get a PSA test?

You can ask your GP. Alternatively, we are a charity that organise PSA & health testing events in local communities all over the UK. We also offer home testing kits. Some of our testing events are free, some cost £20-30 per test, depending on the charity organiser.

How does your testing work?

You can find an event near you on our website. Register for a free account, book online, attend the event where one of our nurses will take a simple blood test, and you’ll receive your results online within 72 hours. Our home testing kits use a self-collection blood sample, analysed by the same trusted laboratory partners who process our event tests.
